Financing Options
Whether or not you are receiving financial aid, there are numerous payment plans and financing options available.
Prepayments, Plans, and Loans
Students are billed for the expenses of tuition, fees, housing and food separately for each term, and payment is expected two weeks prior to the start of each term.
The following options can spread out your family's share of the cost of education.
- Tuition Prepayment
Families who are not receiving any college support may prepay two to four years of tuition at the rate in effect when the student enters. These families will be exempt from future tuition increases. - The Dartmouth Payment Plan
Families may pay their share of the expenses each term in interest-free monthly installments. - Educational Loan Options
Families may pay off their share of the expenses over a number of years.
Questions about the Tuition Prepayment Plan and the D-Pay Payment Plan should be directed to Campus Billing. It is also useful to check out the student billing FAQs page. Additional questions about available loan options should be directed to the Financial Aid Office.
