Faculty-mentored research

Funding from a wide range of offices, programs and centers for students to engage in research.

Scholar programs

Multi-year programs that provide mentoring and funding for students to engage in active learning experiences that contribute to and complement their academic coursework and that will prepare them for careers and post-graduate study.

Undergraduate Advising & Research

Travel grants for undergraduates to present faculty-mentored academic research at national and international conferences.

Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy & Society

Student Grants for Professional/Educational Growth offer funding to attend or present research at an academic conference related to energy, climate, and society.

Leslie Center for the Humanities

Student Professional Development Fellowships for internships, conferences, workshops, or other professional development activity related to the humanities.

Neukom Institute for Computational Science

Travel grants for students to present their research involving computational techniques at conferences, workshops, or symposia.

Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy

Student Conference and Event Mini Grants for students and student groups to attend or present at conferences.

Academic departments and programs

Some academic departments and programs have funding for students to present faculty-mentored research at conferences. Funding is generally restricted to majors. Contact individual departments and programs for information.

Center for Professional Development

Student Experiential Learning Fund offers funding for a variety of experiences including conference travel grants

Office of Fellowships

Dartmouth-funded fellowships for post-graduate projects and graduate study.

Richard D. Lombard '53 Public Service Fellowship program

The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding partners with the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact to offer fellowships across the globe for projects that tackle local need and benefit the public good.

Olga Gruss Lewin Fellowship

Funding through the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact for service work with a non-profit organization.
