Many academic departments have and manage funds intended to reduce the costs of academic experiences. Please contact individual departments to learn more about what funding they have available.

Peer tutoring is available at no cost to Dartmouth students and is facilitated by trained student leaders who typically have received an A/A- in the course and have been recommended by the course instructor. Find more information here.

Financial aid is available for extra costs associated with required physical education course. Receive support for classes that range from fishing to ice skating, to racquet sports. More information can be found online here.

The Center for Professional Development (CPD) manages four distinct funds that support a wide variety of leave-term experiences. This office also publishes a list of additional funding sources available across campus. To learn more, visit the CPD funding resources page. To apply for CPD-specific funding please complete this CPD application. CPD coaches can help you create strong funding application materials! Schedule a private appointment with a CPD career coach to discuss your unique needs and get support!

Over half of all Dartmouth undergraduates participate in at least one off-campus program. Students receiving need-based financial aid will pay the same net price for a term in Hanover or a term anywhere else in the world.

All costs, including airfare and spending money, are considered when determining the cost of an off-campus program. Any costs in excess of a typical term's cost in Hanover are met with additional Dartmouth Scholarship funds.

Visit the Frank J. Guarini Institute for International Education's website to explore the available programs, and the Financial Aid Office’s website for an in depth look at how financial aid will follow you and create an affordable and accessible experience.
